So I just overheard a man at work talking with another man about prayer in schools. Basically his position is that the idea of telling kids they can't pray at school is ridiculous and that taking "under God" out of the pledge is offensive....that crap didn't bother me. It's an argument that doesn't cut to me.
What bothered me is right after that he said how this country has become to full of that "liberal crap" and we need to "return to the ideals this country was founded on." I really wanted to stand up and say "Like what? Only white land owning males can hold any power or authority!? Lynchings and red 'A's?" - but I bit my tongue. I guess I just like my paycheck too much right now.
Ugh.........I feel dirty............
